Metaphora International is an Ontario-based education and consulting business offering adult learning programs, workshops, facilitation services, digital educational materials, and physical publications including books.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Metaphora International website and your participation in any services.
By accessing this website, using any Metaphora International learning or sales platforms (including Podia), purchasing products, or participating in services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Metaphora International provides:
• Educational programs and workshops
• Story-based learning and facilitation experiences
• Digital resources and educational materials
• Physical books and publications
All services and products — including education, facilitation, consulting, and training — are provided for educational and developmental purposes only.
They do not constitute therapy, counselling, legal advice, medical advice, or professional clinical services.
Participants remain fully responsible for how they apply learning and insights.
Prices are listed primarily in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise.
Payment platforms may display approximate conversions in other currencies for convenience.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing, offerings, and availability at any time.
All purchases must be completed in full (or according to agreed payment plans) before access or shipment is provided.
Digital Products (Books, Downloads, Online Materials)
Due to the nature of digital access, all digital purchases are non-refundable once accessed.
Training Programmes & Courses
With 30 days or more notice, the policy around withdrawal offers 100% credit for another programme. With less than 30 days of notice, 50% credit is offered for another programme.
After the programme has begun, no refunds are issued.
Consulting & Facilitation Services
Refund and cancellation terms will be specified in individual service agreements.
For downloadable or online content:
• Access is for personal use only
• Sharing, reselling, copying, or distributing is prohibited
• No refunds once access has been granted.
For physical items:
• Shipping timelines are estimates, not guarantees
• Buyer is responsible for accurate address information
• Returns are accepted only for damaged or incorrect items within 14 days of receipt
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the error is ours.
All content on this website and in all programs, products, and materials is the intellectual property of Metaphora International unless otherwise stated.
This includes:
• Text, frameworks, training content
• Story Mediation methodology
• Collaborative Story Craft–informed practices
• Graphics, videos, workbooks, and curricula
Participants may use materials for personal and professional learning purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, teach, or commercialise them without written permission.
Users and participants agree to engage respectfully and ethically.
We reserve the right to remove access or participation without refund for:
• Harassment or discrimination
• Disruptive or harmful behaviour
• Misuse of materials or intellectual property
Participants are responsible for:
Their own well-being and boundaries
How they apply learning in professional or personal contexts
Maintaining respectful engagement in group spaces
Metaphora International is not liable for outcomes resulting from the application of educational content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metaphora International shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from participation in services, use of materials, or reliance on provided content.
Metaphora International is not responsible for:
• Personal, professional, or business decisions made by users
• Losses resulting from use of content or services
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant product or service.
Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable Canadian and international data protection regulations.
Information is used solely for programme administration, communication, and service delivery.
Metaphora International does not sell personal data to third parties.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
Any disputes shall be resolved within Ontario jurisdiction.
